DataMea provides a personal data vault service that allows you to upload, store, and manage your personal data exports from various platforms. You can connect AI assistants to your vault to gain insights from your data while maintaining control over what information is accessible.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use DataMea. By using our service, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these terms and that you will comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any activity that occurs under it. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate account information
  • Keep your login credentials secure
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Not share your account with others

4. Your Data

Ownership: You retain full ownership of all data you upload to DataMea. We do not claim any ownership rights over your content.

License: By uploading data, you grant DataMea a limited license to process, store, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

Responsibility: You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload the data you submit. Do not upload data that belongs to others without their consent.

Deletion: You can delete your data at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details on data retention.

5. AI Assistant Access

When you connect an AI assistant to your vault:

  • You explicitly authorize the connection via OAuth
  • The AI assistant can only access metadata, not raw content
  • Access is read-only — AI assistants cannot modify your data
  • You can revoke access at any time

We are not responsible for how third-party AI assistants use the information you choose to share with them.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use DataMea to:

  • Upload illegal content or data obtained without consent
  • Attempt to access other users' data
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

7. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee 100% uptime. We may occasionally need to perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability. We will provide notice when possible for planned maintenance.

8. Disclaimers

DataMea is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • All data processing will be 100% accurate
  • The service will meet all your specific requirements

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DataMea shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the service. Your continued use of DataMea after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Termination

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately, though you may request a copy of your data before deletion.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and applicable member state laws, particularly regarding data protection (GDPR).
