Connect your personal data to AI assistants like Claude
What is DataMea?
DataMea is a personal data vault that lets you collect, store, and control your digital footprint. Upload data exports from platforms like Google, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube, then connect your vault to AI assistants for personalized insights — on your terms.
Your AI assistant can explore summaries, trends, and patterns in your data — but never sees raw messages, emails, or documents. You control exactly what data your AI can access.
How it works
Export your data
Download your data from platforms using their built-in export tools (Google Takeout, Download Your Information, etc.)
Upload to your vault
Securely upload your exports to DataMea. Your data is encrypted and stored privately.
Processing
DataMea processes your uploads into structured, metadata-only records. Raw content stays private.
Connect your AI
Link your vault to Claude or other AI assistants via MCP. Choose exactly what data they can access.
MCP Tools
DataMea exposes the following tools to connected AI assistants:

| get_summary | Get summary statistics across your data (record counts, date ranges, categories) |
| get_timeseries | Get activity trends over time (daily, weekly, monthly) |
| get_events | Get metadata-only event records (titles, categories, timestamps — never raw content) |
Authentication
DataMea uses OAuth 2.0 with PKCE for secure authentication. When you connect an AI assistant:
- You'll be redirected to DataMea to authorize access
- You can choose which data sources to share
- Access tokens are short-lived and can be revoked anytime
- No passwords are shared with AI assistants
Data Safety
What AI assistants CAN see:
- Titles and categories
- Timestamps and durations
- Activity counts and summaries
- Trends and patterns
What AI assistants CANNOT see:
- Raw message content
- Email bodies
- Full documents
- Photos or media files
Your data is never used to train AI models. DataMea is read-only — AI assistants cannot modify or delete your data.
Troubleshooting
Connection failed
Make sure you have at least one data export uploaded to your vault before connecting an AI assistant.
No data showing
Processing can take a few minutes after upload. Check your dashboard for processing status.
